My Story
It All Started with a 'Yes'
Magic of Colours started with a simple “yes.” Back in 2015, as part of my netball team’s fundraising event at Khed Mela, I volunteered to do face painting despite having no experience. I had always been fascinated by face painting at school sports events, but this was my first time holding the brush myself. What started as a small dollar-donation activity turned into an unforgettable experience. The crowd loved it, and I raised $60 in just three hours. But more than that, I found something magical—the joy of seeing a child’s face light up.
A year later, the Khed Mela organizers reached out again, asking if I would return for face painting in 2016. Without hesitation, I said “yes.” That’s when I decided to take my passion seriously—I enrolled in a face painting course, got the best quality TAG and Global face paints, and started practicing on friends, university colleagues, and even pharmacy coworkers. I still remember sitting in a pharmacology lecture next to a friend I had just transformed into Spider-Man! That’s how Magic of Colours was born.

Creating with Joy &
Purpose
I approach each project with playfulness and passion, making sure that every person who experiences my work—whether a child, an expecting mother, or an art enthusiast—feels seen, valued, and uplifted.

Face Painting
I become a kid myself, ensuring the child enjoys the process as much as the final reveal. The moment they see their reflection and smile—it’s priceless!
Paint-a-Pot Workshops
A meditative, explorative journey! The first half is about planning and color selection, while the second half is about letting go and enjoying the creative flow.
Handmade Earrings
No two pairs are the same. Each design is an adventure; sometimes, it takes an hour, sometimes a week. Every piece tells its own story.
Art As Therapy
Art As Therapy involves using art as a meditative, reflective, and joyful process.
The Power of Creativity
To me, creativity is more than just art—it’s self-awareness, exploration, and constant learning. Life is about being an open vessel, embracing curiosity, and allowing yourself to grow through artistic expression.
Living Outside the Box
I was born in Chandigarh and now call Adelaide, Australia, my home. Art has always been my soul’s calling—from winning school art competitions to running my own creative business, Magic of Colours. However, my journey hasn’t been conventional. Society often places barriers around those who choose the creative path, but I have always believed in living a little outside the box.
I became a pharmacist, graduated in 2017 and was a good am still practising it. Yet, my heart always longed for creativity. For me, art is meditation—it makes the world fade into white noise. That’s why I am now studying to become an Art Therapist, merging my love for art with emotional healing. The journey is still unfolding, and I can’t wait to see where it takes me next.

Beyond the Brushes
I am currently pursuing my Diploma in Counselling (ACCSC) and have completed my Certificate and Diploma in Art Therapy through the College for Educational and Clinical Art Therapy (CECAT).
My vision is to inspire people to express themselves creatively which helps them to process their emotions and reconnect with their inner child.
